An EF-2 tornado wreaked havoc when it tore through Jefferson County on Friday, March 14.This video, recorded by Ashlyn Carter who is otherwise known as @faeriequeens, shows the roof of her home in Jefferson County collapsing amid the wild weather.“Between the first and second wave of the tornado, we came upstairs to grab my streaming computer and assess the damage,” she told Storyful.“We then noticed sections of our ceilings sagging from rain and hail. I grabbed my phone to record for insurance purposes.”Carter’s husband is heard reacting to the destruction, while Carter said she was “left entirely speechless.”“This ceiling was just the beginning of the rest of the left side of my house falling down,” she said.The National Weather Service, which had issued a tornado warning for the area on Friday, confirmed the following day that an EF-2 had touched down in Jefferson County, from Hillsboro to Arnold.According to CBS News and NBC News, at least 40 people were killed by storms across several midwestern and southern states between Friday and Saturday, including at least 12 in Missouri.
